Are you feeling slightly off, carrying a few extra layers, feeling stuck, and or  overwhelmed? Due to our fast pace, sometimes chaotic and over scheduled lives we can feel the effects of physical, mental and emotional toxicity. Many of our bodies are so disconnected that we ignore our internal alarm bells, over time, this looks like dis-ease. In some ways, feeling off or maybe even crappy can be a blessing; at the very least, it’s an important invitation.  Why? Because these feelings of off, down or hindered in some way is an opportunity to correct our imbalances with the greatest ease.

This is why Ayurveda can be such a transformational force in our lives. Ayurveda literally means “the science of life” and it teaches us to tune into both the visible and subtle indicators that there is room for improvement within—body, mind, and spirit. A system of healing, Ayurveda donors the unique individual while helping each of us to evolve en ever-improving sense of balance and harmony in our lives. Ayurveda teaches and guides us to better align with our truest inner nature and to rejuvenate our own innate intelligence in order to guide a very gentle and authentic healing process.  

In the spring and fall time, it’s about acknowledging that we’re in a time of transition; over-busy and overwhelmed. In the spring, kapha is the dominate dosha. In the fall, vata is the dominate doshaKeeping your dosha in check is key.  This is the same as saying, keeping your body and mind balanced and healthy is key. Slowing down and restoring the body is the focus in Ayurveda to bring us back into better alignment and health. It’s time to get back into routine, clean up (cleanse), realign, create healthier life style practices, self-study, regular exercise, yoga and meditation practice to support the natural cleansing and detoxification process of the body.
